for children. Her most recent is A
Book for Black-eyed Susan, by
Judy Young (Sleeping Bear Press). Doris works in watercolor and colored
pencil. She enjoys illustrating historical subjects. After an early
career in editorial and educational illustration, Doris began her work
in trade books when she collaborated on the Little House program for
HarperCollins, producing picturebooks and chapterbooks based on the
writings of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Other clients include American Girl,
Albert Whitman & Co., McGraw-Hill, Houghton Mifflin and Simon &
Schuster. She is represented by Cornell & McCarthy of Westport,
Connecticut.
