A couple of years ago, Patricia Keeler went to Victory Theater on 42nd Street to see Batoto Yetu,
a children's African dance group. She has enjoyed hanging out with them ever since. These illustrations are from Patricia's second book about Batoto Yetu entitled, "Drumbeat in Our Feet" (Lee & Low, 2006).

Patricia has also worked on books for Bebop, Greenwillow, and Atheneum. Other clients include Scholastic and Scott-Foresman. Patricia is on the steering committee for the New York SCBWI, but spends most of her time looking for a good cup of coffee in Hoboken.
