Joining CBIGAnyone with a demonstrated interest in children's book illustration may become a member, whether published or not. Please bring or e-mail samples of your work before joining. CBIG's membership year starts in January and ends in December. Membership must be renewed annually. The $40.00 annual dues fee goes toward honoraria for our speakers as well as paper, printing, postage, Web hosting, and other necessary expenses to run this volunteer organization. Members attend January, March, May, and September meetings for free. There may be an additional fee for attending the November Portfolio Review meeting. Attendees of the November 2009 meeting, for example, paid an additional $15.00 at the door to cover the cost of the meeting space and guest reviewer honoraria. For more info on CBIG member benefits, see the about page. How do I attend a CBIG meeting if I'm not a member? For more info about becoming a member or attending a meeting, email Diana at dtdelosh@optonline.net Note: Participation in the Nov.
Portfolio Review is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Two weeks prior
to the event, members receive an invitation with instructions for how
to participate. Historically speaking, there is most likely space for
all who want to take part in the Review; but there are no guarantees
and some members may be waitlisted. CBIG 2010 membership is currently closed, but you may write to Diana (above) if you would like to be notified about joining for 2011. Non-members can still attend 2010 meetings. |
